Art for Social Change 1998-2004

Art for Social Change used the methodology of Drama in Education as a tool to self-confidence, self-exploration, cultural expression and conflict resolution in understanding of their identity and the world in which they live. The project targeted children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 years who were confronted with military, environmental and domestic violence in Macedonia and Kosovo. The project developed a network of 5 organizations and 12 long-term projects where approximately 2.000 children were engaged. Each project included working sessions with more than 400 children and their families and 30 facilitators (professional performing artists, psychologists and teachers). As a result, a Board of Children was established, who acted in all phases of the project promoting the interests of the involved young people and taking part in the decision making process of the project.
